ANNUAL ACTIVITY REPORT 2023 – 2024

The organization in brief:

At PROPHETESS PRIYA MINISTRIES, we work hard to turn visions to reality. Since our founding in 2023 we have had our eyes set onto one specific goal which was to add joy to other people’s lives. Our vision is to empower, educate, and bring change that spans to the coming generations and beyond.

Founded by the visionary Smti. Priya Basu, PROPHETESS PRIYA MINISTRIES stands for a profound commitment to helping those in want, irrespective of caste, creed, color, age, or religious affiliation. By clothing the unclothed, feeding the hungry, housing the homeless, and empowering those who are less fortunate.

Some of Our Honorable Projects:

Food for the Hungry :

Giving individuals who are hungry food is a fundamental component of our work. We help families in our community that are struggling financially and in need by providing food rations and hygiene kits.

Every forty-five days, ration packages are attentively reissued, guaranteeing all individuals associated with these houses a steady supply of wholesome and nutritious food.

Provisioned Ration Items:

We know how important it is to give a healthy, balanced diet. Important components of a wholesome diet are included in our ration packages. These include:

Grains: Rice, Wheat Flour

Pulses: Dal, Moong Dal, Masoor Dal

Fresh Produce: Potatoes, Onions

Essential Cooking Ingredients: Cooking Oil, Tea Leaves, Spices (Chilly, Turmeric, Mixed Spices)

Protein: Eggs

Basic Hygiene and Household Supplies: Toothpaste, Hair Oil, Soaps, Laundry     Detergent, Dishwashing Detergent.

Clothes for the uncovered:

We think that protecting human dignity goes beyond supplying for basic needs. Those without proper clothes are served by our garment distribution efforts, particularly in bad weather.

Our goal with this project is to provide those who are in vulnerable situations warmth, comfort, and a sense of self-respect by clothing them.

Universal Care Without Prejudice:

The foundation of our ministry is the idea that aid ought to be provided impartially. We go out to all facets of our community to provide assistance, guaranteeing that everyone, regardless of background, has fair access to the care they need.

The Prophetess Priya Ministries is not merely an organization; it is a beacon of hope, empathy, and unity within our community. We remain steadfast in our commitment to serve those in need and invite you to become a part of this life changing journey towards a better world for all.

Objectives pursued during the reporting period

The Prophetess Priya Ministries will plan social events pertaining to provision of food and personal hygiene and handle every aspect associated with them.

Planning:

The above-mentioned objective was carried out by first identifying the beneficiaries by our lively spirited members who were quite efficient and excellent communicators. They found the needful impoverished in the rural areas and also those living in the heart of the town, by visiting and conducting several surveys. Through the surveys they were able to map out and understand the requirements of those who were living in subpar conditions. After the identification of the beneficiaries was done their personal details like, Name, contact, Unique Identification numbers and family details were collected.

Once the collection of data was completed, ration and personal hygiene kits were dispensed after every periodic interval throughout the year.

Beneficiaries:

Beneficiaries were from the lower strata of society. Unemployment was one of the burning issues among the needy people who were unable to access the available local resources due to being old aged and without any financial support and people with disabilities. Few who work provide cheap labor as daily wage workers, stonemasons, and construction workers. They are forced to live in subpar conditions as they are getting very fewer wages.

Beneficiaries availing benefits were from the South Andaman and Middle Andaman region.

Key Achievements for the Reporting Period:

  • From the month of registration till the December of 2023, comprising of both the regions mentioned above ration was dispensed 8 times.
  • 20 families have benefited from the Ration and Personal hygiene kits dispensed so far, comprising of both the regions mentioned above.
  • More than 65 people have benefited from the Ration and Personal hygiene kits dispensed so far to the 20 families, comprising of both the regions mentioned above.

Outcomes for the Beneficiaries

The beneficiaries of the works of the organization have had good outcomes for themselves and their loved ones. Upon receiving the continuous ration kits, the old aged beneficiaries feel less burdened as they have no means to avail financial support to purchase basic necessities for everyday life.

Beneficiaries who work for miniscule wages are relieved as they are offered with free ration kits which has an indirect aid to their savings. Furthermore, all beneficiaries also have an emotional satisfaction of knowing that someone is ready to acknowledge their difficulties and problem by aiding them for the days that lie ahead.

Future plans:

Give Basic Human Needs:

Offer assistance to people and families in need by giving them access to basic necessities like food, clothes, and shelter. Take care of urgent physical needs in-order to improve the general well-being of the people in our community.

Empower Women and Girls:

Promote the rights and welfare of women and girls who experience discrimination and hardship. Provide them with a supportive environment so they can prosper and lead happy lives.

Establish Old Age Homes:

Old age homes should be created and maintained to provide our senior citizens with dignity, comfort, and company. Make sure the elderly residents of our community can enjoy a loving and caring environment during their golden years.

Employment Generation:

By giving people looking for work a chance to support themselves, you can help the economy grow and stabilize. Give people the tools they need to properly support their families and themselves.

Goal of global poverty eradication:

The goal of global poverty eradication is to take part in programs and collaborations that tackle poverty both locally and globally. Promote long-term fixes that pull people out of poverty on an individual and community level.

Shelter for the Homeless:
